#Dasara Review
#Dasara
2023- Telugu
Starring : Nani , Keerthy Suresh , Dheekshith Shetty , Shine Tom Chacko , Samuthrakani and Sai Kumar
Directed by Srikanth Odela
Plot : Dhrani , Suri and Vennela are Three Best Friends in Veerlapally. Dharani is a Coward when he's Sober and becomes Courageous when he's fully drunk. He and Suri steal Coal for living. When his Best Friend is murdered in a Caste Based Issue regarding a Bar , Dharani tries break his fears and decides to find the killer and take revenge.
Nani as Dharani is on top tier. His performance and changeover (both physical and acting wise) is on another level. Keerthy Suresh gets a decent role and does a decent job. Dheekshith Shetty is also really good. Shine Tom Chacko as Antagonist is good and does a pretty decent job. His characterization could've been much better and deep. Sai Kumar and Samuthrakani Decent. Poorna wasted.
Sathyan Sooriyan's Camerwork is terrific! His Frames are too good and almost like a painting. Navin Nooli Editing good. Santhosh Narayan's Song are good but BGM is fantastic. Right from Frame one till end SaNa lifts the film .
Srikanth Odela has taken a routine core story and built the film around it. The film's negative lies in this and the film becomes a bit predictable beyond a point. The screenplay is on point but seems stretched at second half sometimes but is substituted by a Technically choreoed Climax. Also the initial setup takes time but nearby Interval the film gains momentum but that also is reduced in second half middle but is again accelerated towards the Finale.
Highlights :
1)Nani's Terrific performance
2)Sathyan Sooriyan's Spellbouding Camerwork
3)SaNa's Magical and Powerful BGMs
4) Wonderfully Choreographed Interval and Climax Fight
Overall : #Dasara is a raw and rustic film with a very routine story but outstanding performances by the leads and really great making.
Rating : 3.25-3.5/5
