2025- Tamil
Starring : Ajith Kumar , Trisha, Arjun Das , Prabhu , Prasanna, Sunil, Priya Prakash Varrier and Jackie Shroff
Plot : AK, a former gangster who willingly went to prison for 18 years to atone for his past and give his wife a fresh start, is finally released—only to discover that his son has been framed and imprisoned. Shattered by the revelation, AK breaks his long-held promise to leave behind his violent ways and reclaims his old knuckle duster. What follows is a relentless quest for vengeance as AK dives back into the underworld he once left behind.

Talking about performances, Ajith as AK delivers a commanding one-man show from start to finish. After a long time, it’s clear that he thoroughly enjoyed every moment on screen—and it shows. His energy is electric, making it an absolute treat to watch. Trisha as Ramya gets a very limited role and has done what that limited role requires. Arjun Das as Antagonist crazily pulls off an SJ Suriyah level performance. Though his character is very underwritten and is too over the top at times , his wacky performance makes it fun. Prabhu and Prasanna get the typical Hero praising side kick role which is limited and they do their best. Personally, it was happy to see Prasanna in such a big film but wish they had given him a more fleshed out role (Loved the Punnagai Arasi reference too). Sunil is wasted unfortunately, though he gets one or two mass scenes he is not properly utilized as he was used in Mark Anthony. Jackie Shroff is wasted colossally whereas Shine Tom Chacko was merely just brought to elevate AK and has nothing in terms of performance. Kaarthkeyan Dev as Young Vihaan does a fantastic job and a good debut in Tamil. Priya Prakash Varrier doesn't get much scope but her performance for Thottu Thottu Pesum was fabulous. Redin Kingsley makes us laugh at one or two jokes.
Technically the film goes hand in hand with its goofy presentation. While Abhinandan Ramanujam's Flashy yet brillaint cinematography makes the film visually appealing. While editing by Vijay Velukutty is pretty standard , special mention for his cuts in Stunt sequences especially for the one involved with Sakalakala Vallavan song. Precise cuts with the beats make it wonderful on screen. While Music by GV Prakash doesn't have any standout track or anything, the loud bgm just once again compliments the film's loud nature. While OG Sambavam and GBU maamey was a blast the placement could've been better. Puli Puli was so random yet somehow amped up the sequences. Terrible and Shoddy VFX . They could've atleast had better VFX for Guns and Blood .

The film right from Frame one screams that "This is an Fan Service and film that just celebratea Ajith Kumar , a Cultural Phenomenon" and the film till end stays true to it. While the Start of the film is so random , it slowly builds the momentum for the over the top Hero revelation. While the first 30-40 mins does not have anything in terms of Story mainly, the Pre -Interval block and introduction of Arjun Das somewhat brings in the idea of core plot. While the Fan Service is still at large, there are some genuine moments where Adhik tries to engage us in terms of the plot which is tried and tested. The Pre Interval Stretch the Revelation comes as an entertaining stretch where we see Ajith having fun on screen.
Coming to the Negatives , the film doesn't have a proper core plot. While there are some genuine stretches here and there , the film doesn't take itself too seriously and the imminent threats to all characters feel like they aren't really dangerous. While the film touted as a complete fan service that will revolve around Ajith's References , Adhik could've woven something around it. While the film takes on blizzard sequences one by one , it does keeps audience hooked on as something is happening on the screen but do the events have depth that's the question. Also the horrible vfx makes it even more bad on some scenes. Basically the film felt like a 2.5 hours Ajith's References woven with Goofy sequences and characters one by one.

Talking about Writer Director Adhik Ravichandran, looking at the broader spectrum he has achieved what he set out to. An Outlandish Ajith Kumar celebration film where everyone either is related to AK through some Multiverse or sings praises of AK. While there's very less in terms of stuff with reference story and screenplay, the film unhingedly provides an out and out mad max Theatrical experience. With every 5 mins we either get a AK slow-motion walking sequence or something reference to his past movies or some characters singing in praise of AK. While this may be enjoyable for AK fans and some neutral fans , it is not the same case for everyone. General Audience expect more in terms of Story. But keeping that aside , Adhik as a Fanboy overpowered Adhik as a Director. Did I enjoy it in Theatre ? With a packed theatre full of Hooting and cheering audience yes ! Will i like it if i re-watch in Home? Probably no! Well if Adhik wanted that then he has acheived it. A Mindless AK Fanboy film fully singing AK's Praises.
Highlights :
1)Pre Interval Casino Scene &  Revelation
2)Puli Puli Song & its placement
3)Goofy and Wacky Flashback
4)One Cameo

Overall: Good Bad Ugly is a Mindless Fanboy film where everyones purpose in the film is elevate AK in one way or the other (both on screen & off screen). If you are a fan of Ajith Kumar or someone who knows him from his Debut or have been following his works , yes sure the film might work for you but if you are a neutral fan expecting something new in terms of story , screenplay and dialogues then this is definitely not a film for you. An Out and Out Fan Service films for Ajith Fans by an Hardcore Ajith fan.
