Plot : When a girl goes missing from a school run by local goons Malaiarasan and his brother, the Police Department sends an undercover officer to investigate. Around the same time, Saravanan, a newly appointed PT master with a mysterious past, arrives in town. As Saravanan gets drawn into the case, the story takes a thrilling turn into a heist drama—where he and his team must steal 100 crores from the brothers. How Saravanan becomes involved, his hidden past, and how this "Gangers"  pulls off the  heist forms the rest of the story.

Performance wise, Sundar C does what is required for the role . There is no particular sequence or scene for him to perform seprately as such , he does a decent performance as Protagonist. Vadivelu as Singaram is a blast on screen. While he throws 100 comedies largely 70% of them land and are much better than all his previous films that touted as comeback of Comedian Vadivelu. Catherine gets a solid role and performs well . She literally stuns everyone with Kuppan song. Muniskanth and Bhagavathi perumal do a decent job while their role is very limited to just comedy alone. 

Hareesh Peradi as Main Antagonist is poorly written and is presented in a even more cliched manner. Among Mime Gopi and Aruldoss, Gopi performs relatively better and has a pretty good screen presence. Vani Bhojan in a cameo does exactly what she does at her serials and there's nothing much to complaint.

Technically the film is Average. Nothing to rave nor nothing to  complaint much. Sathya C's Music is subpar and nothing actually works much. BGMs are decent but sometimes its so random. E.Krishnaswamy's Cinematography is so average and subpar. Praveen Anthony's Editing is good , though they could've trimmed a lot. Decent VFX at some places , Bad at times.

The Film opens with Introduction of Saravanan aka Sundar C and his entry into the School. There we are introduced to Sujitha played by Catherine and Singaram played by Vadivelu. The Entire First half goes at a very random pace with some plot points spreading in here and there. While Some Vadivelu's comedy works here and there some don't and feel forced. The Pre Interval Twist is actually decent and the Interval Bang is good. 

The Film actually picks up pace in the Second Half. Barring the Cliched and very very regular Flashback scene which is meant to add more emotional depth unfortunately fails. But post that the films heist portions and comedy portions work as gold. The Last 45-50 mins are terrific with Heist Sequence and Comedy sequence work well that go  hand in hand. The Last Madha Gaja Raja Refrence and Anaconda Refrence was epic rofl sequence.

Talking about the Negatives, the film just follows the tried and tested path in almost everything and doesn't try to deviate or try something new. The First Half tests our patience with some gags here and there but the second half really works well. While Kuppan song Catherine oozes with glamor which increase the oomph factor, unfortunately that song serves no purpose to the plot. Also brings in the question like why the hell a School Teacher dances like a Bar Dancer in bar with skimpy clothes for no reason which is not even a mission related stuff or dream sequence of any type. Also the Final twists which seems a lot like an after thought works partially only. 

Writer Director Sundar C has chosen a simple straightforward story and has decided to make into a fun heist comedy film and has actually largely succeeded in that. While the film doesn't have unique ideas or out of the box execution, its simple premise, refreshing Screenplay and Vadivelu comedy makes this Gangers an exciting watch for its targer audience - The Family Crowd for the Summer Season.

Overall: Sundar C's Gangers is a Fun Heist comedy film that works largely due to Vadivelu comedy and Heist Sequence. Have less expectations and the film will definitely entertain you.
