#Dune: Part Two Review

#Dune : Part 2
Starring : Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya , Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin , Austin Butler , Dave Bautista , Christopher Walken , Javier Bardem , Florence Pugh and Stellan Skarsgard
Directed by Denis Villeneuve

Plot : Following the events of Dune : Part 1 , Paul and Lady Jessica are now united with Freman are plotting to attack The House of Harkkonens. Paul struggles to accept the Prophecy and battles with his inner conflicts. When The House of Harkkonens deploy a New Member , Feyud Ratha Harkkonen to annahilte Fremans in Arakkis , Paul takes it upon him to solve this once and for all. Rest of the plot revolves around how Paul and Chani beat Harkkonens and what role does Emperor play in all of this.

Performance wise , Timothee Chalamet as Paul has done a Spectacular Job. His presence and his acting in the last 40 mins are the biggest strength of the film. Zendaya as Chani gets a meaty role and performs well. Rebecca as Lady Ferguson also gets a very important role and has acted proficiently. Austin Butler as Feyud Ratha is another wonderful addition to Dune World. Man has just outshone his seniors with an impeccable performance that stands out.Josh Brolin who comes in the last 1 hour only is terrific . His chemistry with Paul and his minor comic moments here and there are placed and played organically well . Javier Bardem gets a good role often used to comic purposes. Florence Pugh as Princes Irulan is wasted . Though her character had potential, it was similar with Dave Bautista too. Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV is senile yet his performance is pretty good.
Technically The Film is Top Notch. Greg Fraiser has made each and every frame of his look like a Painting. Astonishing Framing and Exceptional Cinematography. Joe Walker has cleverly edited the film in such a pace where it does look like it is moving slowly but it is actually moving faster. VFX Quality is Mind-blowing and Crystal Clear. And Finally The Legend , Hans Zimmer as The Composer has just elevated many scenes to its maximum potential. It is a Musical Treat yet the Song or Background Music doesn't feel so loud.
On the Downside of the film , Some might still criticize the First 45 mins where the film tries to set a stage for its proceedings. Also the Middle 30 mins feel the same as they set the stage for the finale.Other than this, I don't think there was any negative for the film.
Writer Director Denis Villeneuve has cleverly captured the essence of Dune with Part 1 and with Part 2 , he has extended the canvas larger with a thin yet cleverly written screenplay. While the base line maybe very thin , Denis has crafted a complex yet comprehensible screenplay that is gargantuan yet simple.
Dune: Part 2 comes out as a Riveting Royal Sci Fi Drama that gets everything right , right from its casting to execution, everything is perfect. The Film's Cliffhanger Ending makes it even more exciting for the Audience to watch Part 3 , The Conclusion.
Highlights :
1) Spice Mine Battle Sequence
2)Return of Gurney and the fight sequence
3) Pre Climax One To One Combat
4)B&W Combat sequence

Overall : Dune : Part 2 is a finely crafted Masterpiece by Master Craftsman Denis Villeneuve that is supported by a Strong and Powerful Cast boasted with a Superior Technicians Crew. The Film is a masterpiece in all aspects and watch it in the Biggest Screen Possible to get sucked into the world of Arakkis.

Rating : 5/5
PS : I have not read the Books , so for me Dune 1&2 was just a Sci Fi Action Drama Film and this review is from that Point Of View Only !
