Plot : The Film follows the story of Air Dragons , A Quick Response Fighter Plane team consisting of Top IAF Fighters. Lead by Captain Shamsher Pathania AKA Patty, the Team Battle it out with Azhar Akhtar a Deadly Terrorist who wants orchestrate massive terror attack on POK. How the team thwart Azhar's Evil Plan forms the rest of the Story .
Perfomance wise , Hrithik as Patty is brilliant. Man is physically fit and perfoms convincingly. Deepika Padukone as Minni gets a solid role and performs really well.
Anil Kapoor as Rocky , the Team's commanding officer is good. Though his character sketch is a bit typical and cliched , his performance especially towards climax is fantastic. Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover as Supporting Characters are good but again their stereotypical character sketch makes it Predictable. Rishabh Sawhney as Antagonist is menacing but perfomance wise, he's a let down.
Technically the film is strong during the Fighting Sequences.The Air Combat Visuals are a bit over the top and over exaggerated but the Editing (only during Combat Scenes) and VFX is pretty good. Remaining Films Technicalities is a hit and miss. While Sachith Paulose Cinematography looks pretty good , the total editing by Aarif Sheikh looks very shabby and Haphazard. Music By Vishal And Sheykar is great as a part of film, but except Khul Gaye Sher nothing stands out.

Written by Siddharth Anand and Ramon Chibb , The Film had a lot of potential to become a Unique Action film , unfortunately the film just tries to stick it its basics of a Good Vs Bad stereotypical masala film tropes. While the inital setup feels good and the combat sequences are designed properly even though they look very exaggerated, the execution is great.The Patriotic Angle looks pretty natural till the Climax, but the overdose of Jingoistic Dialogues towards the Climax makes the film cliched . The First Half is built up properly and hits the right chord till the interval.
On the Downside, The Film's Second Half is dragged and just goes randomly. The Film's core plot from saving a terror attck to a Protagonist Redemption arc. While the Arc is pretty interesting in paper , the execution failed and seems forced. Also the Predictability Kicks in right from the beginning of second half. Though the Air Combat was meant to be over the top , some sequences just baffle us . A Weak antagonist characterization makes the film even Dio down.

All Said and Done, Siddharth Anand has presented a Stylish Ariel Combat film that looks all stylish but lacks the content. While the Emotional content might connect with the audience and air combat sequences might excite , the film is a hit and miss.

Overall : Fighter is a decent Patriotic Action Thriller that preferes Style over Substance. Watch out for Some Intersting Air Combat sequences and Hrithik's Exhilarating performance as Patty.
