Plot : Hardy , A Soldier arrives at the town of Laltu, Punjab where he encounters Mannu and her gang who want to move to London for a better living. After an Emotional Event that changes their life forever, the Gang decides to proceed to London through the Illegal Transportation system known as Dunki. What follows in their journey forms the rest of the story.

Dunki as a fill is a testament to SRK as an Actor who proves that again and again why he is the best. His Subtle yet Wonderful performance just moves everybody . Taapsee Pannu is just wonderful as she portrays Mannu a grounded and aspiring Punjabi Girl. She does a career best performance. Sameer and Anil as their sidekicks are too good in both emotional and comedy scenes. Vicky Kaushal in an extended cameo is the show stealer. His Monologue in an important sequence is a standout. Small Role /Huge Impact. Boman Irani good !

A Technically Simple film.
Thanks to Pritam's Beautiful Montage songs and Aman Pant's Silent Score , the Emotional Sequences are elevated. Simple but Rich Cinematography by all the Four Cinematographers. Editing could've been better. VFX is average at places.
Director Rajkumar Hirani who is known for making Social Commentary Films on important topics has once again done it. This time he picks up the issue of Illegal Transportation and Immigration Laws that affect People. The Depth in Character Arc especially of Taapsee, Sameer and Anil is fantastic. SRK's Character Arc feels a bit overstated at times but nonetheless is great. Special Mention to Fantastic Dialogues by Abhijit Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.

On the downside, the Second Half might not feels so Rajkumar Hirani-type as the film constantly shifts between a Humour and Serious Tone. Also at times the Second Half feels a bit all over the places. Though SRK and Taapsee are great , somewhere the Chemistry did not workout between them. Also the Rampant Cuts during Important times kind off makes the Emotional Core not landing properly.

All Said and Done , Rajkumar Hirani has once again proved that he can only do it ! And SRK & Taapsee elevate this Immigration Drama even to a better level. Barring the Average Sequences in Second Half , Dunki excels beyond all the Minor Negatives. It is not Hirani's Best but also does not spoil both SRK's Streak in 2023 and Hirani's Filmography Streak.

Overall: Dunki is simple yet beautifully woven character study of 4 People and their Lives revolving around Immigration Issues. With a Strong performance by leads and a powerful direction by Rajkumar makes it a wonderful heartfelt movie ! A Must Watch
