Plot : An Academically Bright yet Faint Hearted Cop is paired up with a Egoistic yet Powerful Cop in a Hunt Against A Psychopath Criminal who is in a Killing Spree

Both Ashok Selvan and Sarathkumar have given terrific performance. Showstealer is a Subtle yet Fierce Sarathkumar who has given a fantastic performance in recent times. His Character Arc is so beautifully designed. Ashok Selvan again gets a fantastic role and nails it. The Equation between him and Sarathkumar is gradually developed and is one of the biggest strengths of the film. Nikhila Vimal gets a small part and has done a good job. The Surprise Actor has given a fantastic Performance and is outstanding.

Technically, the film is strong. Cinematography by Sivaji is good. Editing by Sreejith is great. Special Mention to his sharp cuts at places which made the scene presentation even more powerful. Music by Jakes Bejoy , the film has no songs but unfortunately the BGM is not upto to standards. The BGMs during Important Sequences could've been much better.

Writers Alfred Prakash and Vignesh Raja have taken a good one liner and developed it smartly. Rather than following the general tropes of a Serial Killer film , the film tries to deviate at times and it works greatly. The Smartly packaged Screenplay which keeps the guessing game on till the Interval is fantastic. Towards the end of the film there's a Exchange of Thoughts between the lead about a very subjective issue , the way Directors conveyed it was mind-blowing. Special Mention to the Razor Sharp Dialogues that are subtle yet convey messages powerfully. 

On the Downside, the Killers Motive aren't conveyed properly and are vague at places. Also the Female Leads Track felt forced at places but when it was justified it made sense.
The film's outstanding screenplay hides all these minor hiccups.

Overall : Por Thozhil is a must watch for all Thriller Film Lovers. You definitely won't be disappointed. Watch out for the Stellar Perfomances of Ashok Selvan and Sarathkumar
