Plot : Rudhran , A Middle Class IT Employee's Life is turned upside down when his Mother and Wife are murdered by a Nexus of Criminals led by Bhoomi . How Rudhran uncovers it , finds the reason for the murders and takes revenge forms the rest of the crux.

Lawrence master is in full form . He dances gracefully, fights terrifically and emotes well too. He's apt and believable as a Middle class Guy. PBS is cute and gets a relatively decent role. Sarathkumar as Bhoomi is wasted. His character sketch is so generic and cliched that it's not even scary. Rest cast like Kaali Venkat , Poornmima Bhagyaraj , Nasser , Etc get limited role and perform well.
Technically the film is average. Cinematography by RD Rajashekhar is average and nothing standouts. Editing by Anthony is choppy could've been much better. GVP's Songs are good, Pagai mudi was a theatrical moment song and was too good. Sam CS Background score is loud and repetitive at times. Stunts by Stun Shiva are Over the Top yet fantastically Choreographed. Horrible VFX at Songs and Fights.

The Story And Screenplay written by KP Thirumaaran feels so generic and cliched. While the First Half is completely nonsensical and predictable, Film actually dives into the main plot during the Second Half only that's where the film gets interesting with the Flashback. Though the Flashback seem to have not much of a Logic, still it's engaging. Kathiresan's Direction is so cliched that you can literally predict what's coming next a mile ahead itself.The Director tries to make it different with edit pattern but that fails miserably. Direction could've been much better.

Overall : Rudhran is a Average Outing that has a Crappy First Half followed by a Average Second Half that is mildly engaging. But still the predictability kicks in everytime. Watch with very minimal expectations and this film will like a 2005-2006ish Mass Masala Action Film.
