#Viduthalai Part 1

Plot : Viduthalai Focuses on a Newbie Cop named Kumaresan who is recruited near South Tamil Nadu Hill Villages where the Cops are fighting against Makkal Padai , A Separatist  Group led by the eponymous Perumal Vaathiyaar. How Kumaresan gets involved in the mess and catches Vaathiyaar in the "Operation Ghost Hunt" forms the rest of the crux.

Soori as Kumaresan has just lived the role. The way he expresses his helplessness, earnestness and regret is impeccable. A Award Winning Performance. Vijay Sethupathi as Vaathiyaar gets a Extended cameo in this part but is a very powerful role and has done a fantastic job. Bhavani Sri in her debut has done a great job. GVM and Rajiv Menon as a Strict Cop and Politician have done a fantastic work. Especially GVM is so apt. Chethan who places the Officer In Command is terrific and also performs really well.

Ilayaraja's Songs are good and BGMs are Great. Velraj's Cinematography is fantastic and captures the essence of the Villages and Hill Stations fantastically. Editing good. Fantastic Stunt Choreography by Peter Hein and Stun Siva

Vetrimaaran has done it again and created a Masterpiece . The Film's Reflection on Police Brutality will make you shiver down your spines and haunt you for a few days. While Viduthalai 1 is just a setup , Viduthalai 2 will explore more on the backstory of Vaathiyaar , How Kumerasan's Life is affected and the ultimate finale. Vetrimaran's Dialogues are sharp and insightful and screenplay moves at a relaxed pace. Nothing is rushed , everything is taken and told in a relaxed manner.
On the flipside, as Every Vetrimaaran Films have this film has Dubbing issues. The lipsynch doesn't match at many places. Also the song situation's could've been much better.

Special Mention the beginning 10+ minute Single Shot Stretch . It'll probably be one of its kind Single Shot in the History of Indian Cinema and make you shiver. The Interval Reveal and Climax Fight are exhilarating!.

I can keep on going about this film its such a classic...

Overall : Viduthalai Part 1 is a Slowburn Masterpiece that will leave you craving for more but also disturb you and make you sleepless for a night

#Kanguva 2024- Tamil  Starring : Suriya, Bobby Deol , Disha Patani , Natraj , Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley Directed by Siva Plot: Francis , A Bounty Hunter in Goa comes across a Kid named Zeta who has escaped from a lab and is pursued by an unknown organisation. While Francis bonds with that child , he realises that their fates are interlinked dating back 1000 years ago where Francis was Kanguva, A Nobel warrior who has taken up a promise to safeguard the kid. Who is Kanguva ? Why did he promise? Did he keep up the promise? And why are they hunting them in the present forms the rest of so called story. Performance wise , Suriya as Kanguva has given his heart and soul for the character but which deserved a better film. Suriya as Francis doesn't have much to perform, while it was a textbook level character with minor scope. #Indian2 Tamil - 2024  Starring : Kamal Haasan , Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu , Rakul Preet, Jegan, Samuthirakani, Vivek and SJ Suriyah Directed by Shankar Plot : Senapathy who is now living a peaceful life in Taipei City, returns to India to aid Chitra Aravindan a Social Media Activist who exposes corrupt officers. What follows is a cat and mouse between Senapathy, The Police and the Corrupt Officials . Performance wise, Kamal as Senapathy is decent. The Prosthetic looks very bad at times which makes the performance also look average. The Antics of a 100+ Old Man is explained but is not justified properly. After Kamal , Sidharth gets a meaty role and has done a decent job. Bobby Simha as the Police does exactly what Nedumudi Venu did in the Prequel.
